I've thought a lot over the years fondly remembering my band director at St, Boniface School, Edwardsville,IL, Mr. McCrady. He started me playing trombone in 4th grade through 8th grade, kindly guiding my 2 sisters and me in our early music edu.. from 1952 to 1957. I now still play trombone in one of the concert bands here in The Villages. I saw him once playing on the Admiral. I wish that I could have expressed my gratitude to him for all of his mentoring (and patience) during those formative years.
Thanks Mr. McCrady. Your grateful student,
Jack Cherry

Sue and Jeannine,
We were so sorry to hear of your father's passing when we returned from out of town today. He was such a kind and generous man. Bob has always spoken highly of "DT", and when I recall seeing him, he was always smiling and had a wonderful sense of humor and a love of music. I pray that your many good memories and the kind words of those who knew your dad help to provide you with comfort and peace until you see him again.
Fondly and with our deepest sympathy,
Bob & Leesa Hagen

Please accept my deepest sympathy in the passing of Mr. McCrady. He was band director at Millstadt Consolidated School when I was a student. I was a majorette and played the saxophone. Everyone thought very highly of Mr. McCrady. My thoughts and prayers are with his dear family. Rose Marie (Germann) Fitzgerald

My condolences towards your family. Losing someone close to us in death cuts deep. May the fond memories you've shared grant you a measure of peace and may the loving words expressed at Isaiah 57:18 bring you comfort- "I will heal him and lead him. And restore comfort to him and to his mourning ones."

Susan & Jeannine,
So sorry for the loss of your dad. I have many fond memories of growing up on N 44th St. I can still see your dad cleaning his cars every chance he had! He took a lot of pride in teaching & playing music, he certainly helped many of us select & acquire the instruments we played in our grade school & high school bands.
He had a wonderful sense of humor & hopefully all your special memories will help you through this difficult time.
