My cousin Frances gave me a part time job in her restaurant when I was about 13 years old. She was always kind and cheerful She stayed active in old age and was always at our family reunions helping with the food, of course. I will miss her. Prayers for your loss.

My husband, Dale, would start every day with an early trip to Schwalm's for breakfast...way before 6:00am. Franny was one of his favorite people. My sincerest condolences to the family.

Our sincere condolences to Randy and family at this difficult time. I knew your parents and grandparents. I always referred to your mom as part of the widows' club. She and Alma would visit my mom, Millie Newcomer, and play cards. They really enjoyed their card games. All of them had lost their husbands. I last spoke to Frances to let her know my mom passed away - which was 5 years ago yesterday. I have fond memories of her from when I was growing up. So sorry for your loss.

We moved to the area in late fall 2016.
Several people spoke of the restaurant and after our first meal there we were hooked!
We don't go to any of the large chain restaurants-only Schwalms
I wish we could have met Francis .
Comforting , healing prayers are being sent for all of her loved ones during this difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. We will never forget all the great tasting food that she made for our family reunions! We stopped in the restaurant just a few years ago and she sat and visited with us. I was impressed with her energy and attitude of service. I look forward to seeing her again someday and all of our loved ones in heaven.

We bought our first house from Fran and Allen back in 1974. It was a lovely home on Main Street in Annville. They then moved beside the restaurant in Cleona. She is, was, a wonderful example of what you can achieve with hard work and determination. Our sympathy to her son and his family.
