Clement I. Pyles
Zanesville - Clement "Clem" Isaac Pyles, 83 of Zanesville passed away peacefully on April 7, 2018 at Highland Oaks Care Center.
Clem was born in Crooksville on February 7, 1935. He is the son of the late Kenneth E. and Nellie Francis (Allen) Pyles. Clem was always a hard worker, starting at 12 years old carrying coal ashes for his neighbors. He graduated from Lash High School in 1953 and then entered the U.S. Army in 1954 being stationed in Germany. After his Military Service he went to work for Curtis Lumber and then for the S.S. Kresge Company (Kmart). In 1977 he opened Clem's Country Store in Gaysport and ran the store for several years. He made and sold Clem's Hot Pepper Mustard and Relish. He was a member of Anchor Lodge F&AM and Olive Branch OES as well as a member of Zane Grey Old Car Club. He was very proud of his 1928 Model A Ford.
Clem is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Pauline (Dilley) Pyles, whom he married July 7, 1957; his two children, Adam G. Pyles of Woodbury, MN and Lisa S. (Paul) Fair of Pontiac, MI; his grandchildren, Christopher and Ami Fair; one great-grandson Jaxon Fair and his brother Kenneth A. Pyles.
In addition to his parents, Clem is preceded in death by his son Matthew C. Pyles who passed away in 2016 and his sister, Coleen Carey.
Anchor Lodge F&AM will hold Masonic Services at 7 pm on Monday.
Visitations will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home, 383 Main Street, Duncan Falls, Ohio, where funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday. Pastor Darla Revennaugh will officiate the services and he will be laid to rest in The Duncan Falls Cemetery. Full Military honors will be provided by VFW George Selsam Post #1058, the American Legion Post #29 and the U.S. Army Color Guard.

We are sorry to hear about Clement passing are prays and thoughts are with you all .It was nice to see him and his wife at the Zane Gray Old Car Club Meetings he was always a go getter.We have lit this candle for you clement now you have your wings so go be free and shine on. RIP OUR FRIEND
