Vera-Dean Ducott Patterson
Mrs. Vera-Dean Ducott Patterson, age 79, passed away peacefully following a recent diagnosis of ovarian cancer.
She was preceded in death by parents Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Hoffman; her loving husband, Henry W. Patterson Sr.; daughter, Lisa Mazza; and son, William Nevins Ducott.
Vera-Dean spent a lifetime caring for many as a professional nurse and as a special needs foster parent.
She leaves behind biological, foster, and adopted children and step-children who called her "mom." Survivors include daughters Lauradean Morganti and Stephanie Young and son, Peter H. Mantos Jr. and wife Teresa Stewart. She is also survived by brother, Walter Hoffman and wife Elizabeth. In addition to grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Vera-Dean will be missed by many other family members and dear friends.
