Nancy Lundin Obituary

Nancy Brown Lundin passed away peacefully at the Hospice House in Stockton on Saturday, September 4, 2010. Nancy was born on January 9, 1922, to Hoyt and Gretchin Brown in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She married Roy H. Lundin on January 28, 1943, in Chicago IL. She attended Carleton College in Minnesota and was a graduate of the University of Chicago.
Nancy and her husband, Roy, moved to Lodi in 1982, having previously lived in Sacramento, Alamo, and Grass Valley. Nancy combined her love for books with volunteering at schools, reading for the blind and organizing the library at First United Methodist Church of Lodi where she and Roy were members. Nancy was also an active member of the Lodi P.E.O. Society and had been active in AAUW and the United Methodist Women. She loved to travel and attend Elder Hostels as well as play golf with friends. But her greatest love was family gatherings with her children and grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Roy, and three children: Ann Myers and her husband Greg, John Lundin, Stephen Lundin and his wife, Karla, as well as grandchildren: Chris, Nick, Jake, Lindy, and Jay Lundin, John Myers, Sarah Eby, Nancy Rust and step-granddaughter Aubrey Butte, plus great-grandchildren Raven Myers, Hannah, Emily, and Mary Eby, and Gryffin and Isaiah Rust.
A memorial service for Nancy will take place at First United Methodist Church of Lodi on Saturday, September 11, at 2:00 PM. There will be no committal service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be given to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204-1953, or to First United Methodist Church of Lodi, 200 W Oak Street, Lodi, CA 9524.
