Jacqueline Zupo Obituary

Jacqueline "Jackie" Zupo, a native of Lodi, California passed away on September 10, 2010.
Jackie was a lifelong resident of Lodi. After graduating from Lodi High School with the class of 1955, she moved with her family to Paris, France, where she lived for two years before returning to her hometown.
She was an avid baseball fan who loved the Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies. Jackie made annual trips to Arizona for spring training, and to Colorado where her daughter sang the National Anthem for numerous teams. She spent her summers attending games of the Modesto Nuts and Stockton Ports. When baseball ended, she cheered for the San Francisco 49ers and the Sacramento Kings.
Jackie was an active member of B.P.W. (Business Professional Women) and served many terms as president for both the local and regional districts. She enjoyed sewing, cake decorating, traveling, and shopping.
Jackie is survived by her husband of 45 years, Antone "Tony" Zupo of Lodi; two daughters, Sharla Zupo of Stockton, CA and Sherisse Zupo Pantoja (Joel) of Galt, CA; and her brother, Jerry Meckler (Phyllis) of El Dorado Hills, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Christian R. and Anna Mae Meckler, and a brother, Dwayne Meckler.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 18th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi.
Committal will be private in the Garden of Freedom.
