Norman Shaw Obituary

Norman was born in Maury County Tennessee. He served in the U.S. Army WWII in the European Theater, assigned to the 92nd Mortor Battalion.
He attended George Peabody College and received his dental degree at the University of Tennessee in 1953. He also served in the Air Force as a dentist and taught at UC Dental School in 1956 & 1957.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Shaw of Lodi, CA. They were married for 52 years. They moved to Lodi from Southern CA in 1964. Shaw retired dentistry in 1975 and became a chicken rancher in the Lodi area for over 30 yrs. His interests were country living, animals, old movies and reading. He will be missed by all who knew him.
There will be a private memorial service at Grace Presbyterian Church, 10 N. Mills Ave. on Saturday, Sept. 18, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Hill officiating.
Donations to a charity of your choice may be made in his memory.

I will miss Norm. He was a very nice and decent man. His stories of WWII and life were always fascinating. His handshake was his bond and you could go to the bank on it. Unfortunately, we have fewer and fewer of his generation.

I met Dr. Shaw about a year ago at the allergist office. I always looked forward to seeing him and hearing his great stories. I will miss seeing him every Monday.....God bless his family.
