I remember I had his govt/economic class @ Tokay High, 1st period my senior year, 2001, the day 9/11 hit. He was a hardcore coach/teacher but that was the first time I saw his soft side. It was a rough period to get through but he helped us get through it. RIP MR KLARER. You'll never be forgotten.

I am deeply saddened to see that Mr. Klarer has passed. My first day of High School at CHS all of us freshman filed into his class 1st period. The bell rang as we all kept chatting away while Mr. Klarer stayed seated behind his podium. Finally he asked "Are you done?" He stood up and all of our jaws dropped. He said "I'm 6'8 don't ask me again, and I hate Freshman" He had our attention right away! What a wonderful man. He was my favorite teacher. I was also lucky enough to have him again my senior year. To his wife and daughters, I am so sorry for your loss. I feel lucky to have known him.
