I miss you. Kay was my sister in law since I was 9 yrs old but she was more like a big sister to me. She was a rock, always strong, always helping others. My brother teased her a lot but he loved her so much. Rest in peace Kay. Love you.

Dear Gene (hard not to call you "Sgt Jones"), I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your lovely wife and, I am sure, your best friend. She sounds like a wonderful and giving person, one I would have loved to know. This is no doubt a tough time for you, but please know you are in the thoughts and prayers of many of your friends, including mine. Take care of yourself, and may God bless you and your family.

Kay was my friend for 50 years, having met at MJC back in 1960. Opposites surely must attract, since we were not at all alike.....Kay being outgoing and sometimes a bit "boisterous" (who could forget that laugh!); me, being rather shy and "reserved". Also, she was my "kin" for almost 48 years, after marrying my nephew in 1962! While throughout their many years together, Gene often jokingly "blamed" me for that marriage, I simply said "you're welcome" and gave Kay a sympathy card.
Katy, you will be missed by many, many people who know and love you; and, we will treasure our many memories of you. I'm thinking that you may not be resting in peace; but, instead, you're already busy "piecing" quilt after quilt without the need for rest!
Thank you for being my friend.

I'll miss her more than I can put into words. She was a wonderful lady, always first in line to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate. She was generous to a fault with her time and talents. There will never be another like her. "I love you Kay"

Kay was a force to be reckoned with, a force for good. Using her many talents to bring comfort, and a smile to many faces. She will be missed.
