Born Dec. 24, 1935 in Lake Williams, North Dakota passed away peacefully at his Yreka home after a lengthy illness on Aug. 25, 2010.  He was 74 years old.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan, and their three grown children Cindy (husband Rob) Estes, Jeff (wife Julie), Randy (wife Jennifer), as well as five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his sister Pattie (husband John) Mendez of Lodi, CA.  He was preceded in death by his grandson Kevin, two brothers and his parents.
He graduated from Lodi High School in 1954 and attended Porterville College near Fresno, CA. He also served his country for six years in the California National Guard.  He served his communities as a life-time member in the Loyal Order of the Moose (Moose International), Lodi, CA and was active in the Yreka Elks Lodge #1980.  He also served on the Dunsmuir, CA City Council for four years.
He lived in the Sacramento area, working 35 years in the aerospace industry for Aerojet General Corporation.  One of his career highlights was working as a machinist and being a member of the team that worked on one of the Apollo engines that traveled to the moon.  He also served as a Directing Business Rep and held the position of Chief Steward for the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Local 946.
Bryce was a loving and charitable man.  One of his greatest joys was his three children.
He decided to serve medical research by donating his body to MedCure located in Portland, Oregon.  They help United States medical researchers and educators by discovering cures for diseases and develop new effective medical treatment therapies.  The Loudon family wishes to thank the awesome and amazing team at Madrone Hospice in Yreka, CA for their wonderful support, especially Joanne, Judith and Suzanne.
At this time, no services are scheduled.  In his memory, donations may be sent to Madrone Hospice, 255 Collier Circle, Yreka, CA 96097 or an organization of your choice.  God bless everyone who loved Bryce.

Our family has so many happy memories of great times with Bryce, many spent during the years the guys held 49er season tickets. The whole group wore Stetsons, played pinochle all the way down in the motor home, once at the game they bet on everything, it once cost Bryce $32.00 to see the opening kickoff, they had so much fun that everyone sitting around their seats looked forward to them coming, they called them “The Hat Gang”. He was very involved with both of our daughters weddings, even making a “worry” chart he hung on the wall in our kitchen as to how long each day Paul could worry about the coming events, of course it added up to 25 hours a day! Memories of his friendship are treasures we will carry with us always.

I hope everything is going okay for you and the family. I see you're in Yreka. It would be nice to hear from you.If you don't have a computer, maybe one of the kids can make contact with me and we'll switch information. I'd love to catch up with you.
