Rosemary Haze Obituary

Age 85, passed away at Delta Rehab & Care Center in Lodi. Rosemary was born in Turlock, California to Beverly Vieira & Rose Matoza-Vieira. Rosemary married William "Bill" Haze in 1947. The Haze's had four children: Judy (now wife of Bob Brown), Johnny (now husband to Mary Ellen Haze), Michael (now husband to Linda Haze) and Jerry Haze. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband "Bill" and her two sisters, Judith Vieira-Butler and Lorraine Vieira-Frunz. Rosemary lost her eyesight several years ago but never lost her love of life. Unable to visually see at the end of her life she treasured her four children, eight grandchildren and three 3 great-grandchildren most of all. Rosemary is also survived by her two half-sisters June Carenessca & Roberta Reimland.
Our family wishes to Thank all of the Caregivers & Residents of Delta Rehab for making the past years feel like our Mother was truly a part of the Delta Family. We also want to thank all of our family, friends and her special TOPS Club friends that remembered "Our Rosie" in their thoughts and prayers. At Mom's request memorial services will be conducted in private.
As one of Rosemary's final wishes, she wanted to have all her friends read this poem:
I Have a Place in Heaven
Please don't sing sad songs for me,
Forget your grief and fears,
For I am in a perfect place
Away from pain and tears.
It's far away from hunger
And hurt and want and pride,
I have a place in Heaven
With the Master at my side.
My life on earth was very good,
As earthly life can go,
But Paradise is so much more
Than anyone can know.
My heart is filled with happiness
And sweet rejoicing, too.
To walk with God is perfect peace,
A joy forever new.

Rosie had a special place in my heart....when we would visit and I would mention something that was bothering me or that I was worried about....Rosie was quick to correct me and point out that those worries of mine were unimportant and that there are more important things in life. I always remembered her words and the lesson that she taught me. Her love of life and the bravery that she displayed during trying times was remarkable. She was a generous and loving person who will be sorely missed and continually admired.

Dear family,
We are so sorry for the loss of your MoM, our prayers will be with you as your hearts will have an empty spot forever.
Rosemary was a true inspiration to all of us in this life, she gave so much love and care to our family always asking how each of our kids were doing and always recalled what they were doing from the last conversation we had. Always concerned how we were doing working out of state and always with a warm hand to welcome me when I came to visit. She always had a smile and a good word to say.
I will miss her too.
God be with you all.
Love, Doug & Yvette Bender

Dear Judy, John, Mike,Jerry & families.I was privileged to have 'Rosie' be in my life for almost 40 years. She & Ompa were loved my me as parents as long as I've known them. My two adult children, Jonah & Emily were so blessed, proud & happy that Opma & Granny were a big part of their lives.
Granny's great grandson, Steven, was happy to play his hormonca for Granny & was delighted to hear her laugh.
She will greatly missed by so many, but her laughter, smiles, hugs & loves will remain in yours & our hearts together forever. RIP,Granny, give Ompa a hug from us. Love Shirley Haze Family

Judy, John, Mike & Jerry,
I was heart broken of the passing of your beautiful mother. I was lucky that you all moved to Live Oak Road & we became bestest friends so many many years ago (except for the worm, Johnny). Your mom was the word "fashion", always had to have her nails done, hair just so and that smile, who could forget that smile? My heart hurts for you all but the hole in your hearts will be filled with many loving memories of that sweet woman.
