Esther Auman Obituary

Esther Harriet (Bell) Auman, 88, of Acampo, passed away September 29, 2010. Born to George Bell and Mary Lancaster in Glendora, California August 31, 1922, she attended Bonita High School, later earning 2 AA's from Chaffey College in English and Homemaking. As an adult, Esther lived in Weed, Sacramento, Alturas, and Fresno before moving to Redding, and subsequently Lockeford/Acampo. She was a homemaker, wife, and mother, and also worked for Wells Fargo for 11 years. After retirement, she learned Spanish, and led guided tours of Mexico, Central America, and Alaska with her husband.
Esther is survived by her children, Susan Johannaber (Larry) of Acampo, Michael (Shirley) of Davis, and John (Cyndy) of Susanville, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
Her husband of 59 years, William (Bill) S. Auman and son, Robert, precede her in passing.
Interment will be private. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave, Stockton, Ca 95204, the Shasta, Trinity, Tehama HIV Food Bank, PO Box 493283, Redding, Ca, or the charity of your choice.
