William Padilla Obituary

Born in Guadalupe, Ca, and raised in Stockton, William spend most of his years living in San Jose and Lodi. He worked for Pepsi as a delivery person, from which he retired. William was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Kathryn (Nagel, Horst) Padilla, his son Rodney Padilla, step sons Robert and Jack Horst, stepdaughter Doloras Meidinger, brothers John and Ray Padilla, sisters Louise Williamson, Martha Soria, and Ruth Barba.
He is survived by his stepdaughter Sharon Shockey (Mel), 10 stepgrandchildren, and many step-great grandchildren.
William served in the US Navy during World War II, and took a great deal of pride in the fact that he was one of many that defended our freedom. He's finally home now, with his family that he has loved and missed so much. God bless you, Poppy!

Papa...you will be missed so much. You were a great grandfather to myself as well as to my lil rugrats. I will never forget the warmth and love felt each time I visited you. I am proud to have had such a wonderful great grandfather in my life!!! I know you are in a better place and with grandma once again....and knowing that makes my sadness of your loss easier to get through. I love you Papa. You will always remain alive with grandma in my heart!!!
