Marilyn Meier Obituary
She loved raising her family and having Sunday family dinners, traveling with her husband going to Yellowstone, Niagara Falls, Switzerland and an Alaskan cruise. She and her husband, Ernie, were married in 1951 and lived in Lodi but had moved to Hayward for a year then returned to Lodi.
Survived by her husband of 59 years, Ernie Meier of Lodi. Son: Ernie R. (Diane) Meier of Lodi. Daughters: Janet (Steve) Manildi of Lodi. Donna (Rick) Webb of Mexico, Missouri. Sharon (Jim) Davis of Arnold, CA. Doris (Matt) Vale of Lincoln City, OR. Sisters: Norma Russell of Stockton. Georgia Birkes of Lodi.
10 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00am in the chapel of the Donahue Funeral Home. Committal will be private.
Visitation will be Thursday 9:00am to 5:00pm and Friday 9:00am to service time at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204 or to Women of the Moose.

Marilyn was such a wonderful lady, wife, and mother. It has been my pleasure to know her for so many years. My condolences to all of her family.

Dearest Mr. Meier, Jan, Ernie, Donna, Sharon and Doris and your beautiful family...Words cannot adequately express my deepest sadness at the loss of your Marilyn. I feel like I grew up at your house from the age of about 14 to 21!! So much love in your family and it all stemmed from two wonderful people: Marilyn and Ernie Meier! They made all of their children's friends feel so welcome. And they gave back to the community by participating in so many clubs and activities that benefited our little town and their children. I love you all...and I will mourn her loss as though it was my own mother. May God give you all peace and know that we all have a new angel looking down on us on high. I wish I could hug each of my dear dear friends...and be there to comfort you as well as share wonderful memories. My love to you all!! Donna
