My dear husband Greg: your tribute to your dad and mum was so heartfelt and beautifully done. Everyone in that room felt the love and presence of Wanda and Ed. They live on in our memories, and in Kim and in you. I am so very lucky to be your wife. With gratitude, admiration, and mostly, with love. Lori Leigh

The Memorial Service today for Uncle Ed was a beautiful tribute his life and Aunt Aleene's. It was good to see both of you Greg and Kim. During my early years growing up my brother and I spent many weekends with BBQ's together with both families getting together and enjoying each other's company. When my Sister Julie came along, she also shared times together with both of you being closer to your age. As the years have passed I haven't seen as much of you and the family and that is why seeing you today brought back so many happy memories. It was great to share the Memorial Service with you and seeing a little of Ed and Aleene in both of you. Your tribute to your Dad and Mom was beautifully done with much love, respect and admiration for your parents. Everything you talked about today was vivid in my mind and I will always remember both of them fondly. Hold all the LOVE and memories close in your hearts. Your Cousin, Pam Witherspoon Aberle

Mr. Tiede was the principal at Taylor School in 1975. Taylor was my first assignment as a Public Health Nurse/School Nurse. Mr. Teide could be intimidating. Through that year he demonstrated his commitment to education, the students and faculty. I developed great respect for the man and his professionalism.
I met Wanda Tiede, Pulliam School Secretary, 8 years later. Wanda and I became friends and had some crazy, fun adventures together. I was invited to the Tiede home and met the family. Ed shared his love of photography. He had many wonderful pictures. He was particularly proud of black and white photos of his children. Ed and I had simulating conversations about the books he was reading. There have been times I wanted to call and ask what are you currently reading? He knew the good stuff.
Ed Tiede is a good man who touched many people.
Gregory and Kimberly you are in my thoughts.

To the Tiede Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Tiede was my science teacher more than 50 years ago when I attended Marshall Jr. High. It says a lot about what a good teacher he was when a student remembers him after so long. I was also good friends with his niece, JoAnn Maple (we went to Stagg). One time she needed to go over to her Aunt & Uncle's house and what a nice suprise for me when it turned out to be Mr. Tiede. Always remember the wonderful memories you all have of him and find comfort in them and knowning that they can never be taken from you. My paryers and thoughts are with the Tiede Family.

Mr Tiede Family and friends I want you to take comfort that I considered him to be a great teacher. He made his classes interesting and the topic of conversation in our home. He was inspiring and made his classes fun.

Kim and Gregg: I also feel your loss, lets be happy to know they are together again. Ed doing the Barber Shop Quarett and your mom doing the Sweet Adelines. Come Saturday night they will be doing the Jitter-Bug and having a ball. May our Father in Heaven heal your hearts soon. All my love, Aunt Lena Maple.
