Yzalia Brooks Obituary
Her parents Fred and Mary Dubach, sister Hilda Olenski, brothers Fred and Ernest Dubach all preceded her in death.
Yzalia attended Dillard Elementary and Elk Grove High School. After graduation, June 1944 Yzalia and Troy D. Brooks were married. They lived and raised their family in the Galt area where they ran the family dairy and later were involved in cattle ranching.
Yzalia lived in the area for over 65 years. She especially enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, being with family and friends. Her loving husband, Troy preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter Sherann and Bob Erman of Galt, son Lon and Mary Brooks of Galt. Four grandchildren Troy and (Tracey) Brooks of Bly OR, Deana and (Derek) Sommer of Galt, Katie and (Tom) Hearne of King City, and Matt and (Amy) Erman of Acampo, and thirteen great grandchildren.
Yzalia was a member of Galt Bible Church, Herald Riders, and Birthday Club.
Donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, 10:30a.m. at Galt Bible Church, 801 Church St. with private committal at Galt Cemetery. Viewing at Ben Salas Funeral Home, Thursday from 11a.m.-7p.m.

Sherann, Bob, Mary and Lon, Y was a wonderful woman. She and Troy were much more than neighbors to John, they were family. Sharon& Bob so sorry for your lost I always enjoyed her when she would come out when I would pick up the calfs.

I remember delivering shavings to the dairy and Yzalia would visit with me until Troy showed up to direct me to where he wanted the load -- always a treat to chat with her and I'm sorry to hear of her passing and for your loss.

I first met Y as an 8-year-old when she would come to visit her mother (who lived next door to us) in Wilton. Yzalia Brooks was definitely one of the kindest and sweetest people I have ever known.
