Sherann, Bob, Mary and Lon, Y was a wonderful woman. She and Troy were much more than neighbors to John, they were family. The care you all took to make sure his days were not lonely will never be forgotten. There has to be a special place in heaven for Y. My sympathy to all of you. Violet Denier Whaley, Orting WA

I remember delivering shavings to the dairy and Yzalia would visit with me until Troy showed up to direct me to where he wanted the load -- always a treat to chat with her and I'm sorry to hear of her passing and for your loss.

I first met Y as an 8-year-old when she would come to visit her mother (who lived next door to us) in Wilton. Yzalia Brooks was definitely one of the kindest and sweetest people I have ever known.

I'm so sorry for your loss, when I saw the paper this morning, I thought of all the good times my mom, Ruth Pratton, had with your mom, Jan and Alice. My mom cherished those memories
