While preparing a sermon, I ran across this. Justin, you continue to influence the world. I wanted you to know that.I regret that you aren't here to see how Tyler and Shelby have grown up, but I know you love and encouraged them. Thank you for the love you launched.

Being with you made me so happy. Your laugh made me laugh and your smile made me smile. Nobody has ever touched my heart like you and I will always cherish every moment we spent together. I hope to see you in my dreams.
I love you!

I've been married almost 25 years, yet I signed my name Linda Ford instead of Linda Ford Gassman. I guess that's how much my Ford family has been on my mind. Justin, I'm blaming the name slip on you!
With love, Aunt Linda

I wrote this 10 years ago when my best friend died... too young... just like Justin. I thought it appropriate to share, in hopes it might help someone who reads it.
SMILE...let the corners of your mouth lift up. Try to let it reach your eyes, try hard. It's there somewhere, buried deep. Beneath the tears, beyond the sadness.
DREAM... a little dream of when, things were okay with your world. These things only happen to other people. Wrong.
TALK...about the fun times, so many of them. Stories told that are suppossed to ease the pain. Memories shared with others who know, that it was too soon for the book to end.
HOPE... the saying is right, that time does heal. Heal broken hearts, left empty by this loss.
PRAY... a little prayer for peace, for faith. Faith that He knows what he is doing. Unquestioning, "Whys?" that have no answers. Never will.
LOOK...to the skies and KNOW... You are loved...
Watched over now...
By a very special ANGEL.

Cuz. So, remember when you were at skyline and I was your waitress and you didnt recognize your own cousin...I think that might have been the best day of my life, because it brought you back into my life. I am so glad that we got to spend so much time together this past year. You were a brother and best friend to me and I have never trusted or loved anyone like I did you. I guess Im going to have to go solo on our comedy tour, but I know that you will be there by my side. I love you and miss you so much... not a minute, hour, or day will ever go by without thinking of you! I love you.
Your cuz

The world is always poorer when we lose someone like Justin. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends in this time of grief. May memories of him bring comfort and peace. He will truly be missed by his co-workers at Ruth's Chris. He will be remembered for his generousity, incredible sense of humor, and his golden smile.

In my ten years of teaching, Justin was one of my favorite students. He's the only student I ever had to propose an interpretive dance instead of a paper. I'll never forget him. Or the dance.

I have no words of comfort to offer at the loss of such a wonderful person, son, brother... Justin will be greatly missed. He had a kind heart and always made me feel a part of the family.
It is a tragedy to lose him far too early in his young life.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Now he has departed from this strange world a little ahead of me. That means nothing. People like us, who believe in physics, know that the distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.

My heart is aching for all of those that loved Justin today. He was a great person and I know that he will be missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. It is never easy to lose someone that you love and certainly not when they are so young. There will always be a hole in the world where Justin once was.
