Dear Family & Friends of Sharon Steele,

It's been a year since the loss of our friend, daughter, daughter-in-law and wife, Sharon Brophy-Forst a.k.a. Sharon Steele.

There are no words that can ever be said to remove the pain one feels at such a loss.

I first met Sharon at LA Weight Loss and the friendship was instant. She is one of the most outgoing personable people I have ever met.

Her loss was such a shock for me. The last time I saw her was 7/4 and I was so looking forward to the birth of their first child. The first song on the radio station I heard when I receivd the news was "When September Ends" by Greenday and when I called the radio station and asked to hear one of her favorite songs they played "Yeah" by Usher. She did love music.

I think of her ofter but even more so when I hear these songs. In honor of Sharon and on the first anniversary of her death I will request that these songs be played.

With fondest memories of Sharon I wish you strength in love and memories of a wonderful woman, mother, sister, daughter and wife.

Kyle,

I just found out the terrible news about Sharon's passing last September. I went to Castleton with her, and found out when I read the Castleton Magazine over the weekend, and although some time has passed, I wanted to express my feelings to you. Sharon and I shared many classes during our time at CSC, as well as many hours in the WUIV studio's. I will remember her smile and her laugh, and of course her ability to light up the room...My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. She was a very talented broadcaster, and most importantly, she was a great person, and she will be missed.

Dear Frost and Brophy Famlies

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Sharon. She sang with my husband's band (Spectrum) in Ithaca. She was such a happy person with the voice of an angel. I guess we can hope she is singing in the hevenly choir now.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and we will keep the candle lit for baby Olivia Ruth.

Dear Mrs.Brophy and family

I was so shocked to get a phone call on Sharon's passing. I remember our great times at Miquel's school of Music. How she could sing!!!! I would never know if she didn't care for a particular song because she sang with so much enthusiasm and gave 110 percent every time. Over the years, I'd occasionally hear something on the radio that she had performed and think of her.

My sincere sympathy and thoughts are with you. May she sing forever in the company of angels above.

To The Forst & Brophy Families -

I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of my dear friend and former co-worker Sharon this last Friday. Sharon has left us way too young at the age of 38, and fondly remember our time working together she on then WHMP-FM 99.3 (now WLZX Lazer 993) back in the late 1990's.

Today, the few of us who are still here when Sharon was here with us, are with you today as you mourn Sharon's passing but also celebrate her
young but busy life as she would have wanted it.

Please also feel comforted that, and I firmly believe this, that Sharon is now in a safe place at the right hand of God, no longer in pain and in a far
better place then here, and only God knows why it was Sharon's time to leave us.

While most of the staff has changed here at WHMP and our new station WRSI, myself and the few who fondly remember our time with Sharon,
miss her deeply and will always fondly remember her bubbly personality, her work ethic and the ray of energy she always had.

May all of our prayers be there for Sharon's husband Kyle, her mother Pat and Sharon's brother Mark and the rest of the immediate family and especially for Sharon and Kyle's daughter Olivia Ruth.

Farewell my dear friend, my life has been made better by the few short years we worked and laughed together. Rest well, you are in loving hands
now!
