David Byam Obituary

David A. Byam lifelong resident of Chelmsford; 78 Chelmsford David A. Byam, 78, a lifelong resident of Chelmsford, died on Friday, May 23, 2008. He was born on March 31, 1930 in Lowell a son of the late Arnold and Amelia B. (Marinel) Byam. He attended Augustana College in Rock Island, IL where he majored in History and Social Studies. Prior to his retirement he worked as a custodian for Wang Laboratories in Lowell. He is survived by his three loving children; Carolyn B. Hurlburt and her husband David of Hollis, NH, Marjorie A. Pulliam and her husband Stephen of Columbia, SC and William A. Byam of Chelmsford, eight grandchildren and a brother; George Byam of Peterboro, NH. He was the father of the late David A. Byam II who died in 1996. BYAM David A. Byam, 78, of Chelmsford died on Friday, May 23, 2008. Friends are invited to a Graveside Service on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Heart Pond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in David's name to LifeLinks, Inc., 145 Lexington Ave., Lowell, MA 01854 or to Allegiance Hospice and Palliative Care, 67 Middle St., Lowell, MA 01852. I remember the Byam family so well as a Chelmsford resident of 52 years ago. David was a wonderful person and my sympathy's and prayers go out to the family.
