Eva Holmlund Obituary

Eva M. Holmlund enjoyed traveling and sewing; 78 Lowell Mrs. Eva M. (Dufresne)(Lapointe) Holmlund, age 78, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Sunday May 25th, 2008 at Palm Manor in Chelmsford, following a long illness. She was the widow of Lawrence Holmlund who died in 1986 and Marcel R. Lapointe who died in 1961. She was born in Lowell on July 30th, 1929, daughter of the late Leo & Blanche (Michelin) Dufresne. She was a communicant of the former St. Jean Baptiste Church in Lowell. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by General Electric in Burlington as an assembler for 20 years. She was a member of the Female Division of the Dracut Lions Club. According to the family, Eva enjoyed traveling and sewing. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy S. Murphy of Lowell, and Diane & John Oates of Jefferson City, MO; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Marcel R. LaPointe, Jr. of Lowell, and Bruce & Lisa Lapointe of Londonderry, NH; a sister and brother-in-law: Rita & Fiske Troth of Bridgeton, NJ; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; also many nieces & nephews. HOLMLUND Visiting hours will take place on THURSDAY at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell from 5 - 8 pm. Funeral Friday morning with a prayer service to take place at the funeral home at 10 am. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Funeral Directors M.
