James Connolly Obituary

James W. Connolly enjoyed raising horses, hunting and camping Tewksbury James W. Connolly, age 71, a Tewksbury resident for 51 years, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at the Lowell General Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy B. (Haines) Connolly, with whom he celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on April 6th. Born in Lowell on August 2, 1936, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary (McInerny) Connolly. Mr. Connolly was raised in Billerica and attended Billerica schools. Prior to his retirement in 1980, he was employed as a spinner at the Faulkner Mill Company in Billerica. He resided in Tewksbury since 1957 and previously attended and taught Sunday school at the Tewksbury Congregational Church. According to his family he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. In earlier years, he enjoyed taking care of his 1957 Ford, raising horses, hunting and camping with his family in New Hampshire. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Elizabeth Emmons and her husband Marc of Stafford Springs, CT, Susan Connolly of Tewksbury, Leonard Connolly and his wife Sharon of Tewksbury and George Connolly and his wife Stacie of Wilton, NH; three sisters, Eleanor Mozol and Mary Suprenant and her husband Robert all of Lowell and Patricia Wright of Minnesota; fifteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; many nieces and nephews. CONNOLLY James W. Calling hours Wednesday, May 28th, 4-8 pm, at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral service Thursday, May 29th, at 10:30 am, at the funeral home. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Heart Assoc., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 are suggested. www.farmeranddee.com
