Beverly A. Dunigan

Beverly A. Dunigan formerly of Westford, Lunenburg teacher; 71 NASHUA, NH Mrs. Beverly A. (Dumont) Dunigan, age 71, a resident of Westford for over 65 years, recently of Nashua, passed away at her home in Nashua, on Tuesday, May 27th, 2008, following a brief illness. She was the widow of Joseph Peter Dunigan who died in 1988. She was born in Westford on April 15, 1937, daughter of the late Joseph A. Dumont and Yvonne A. (Tousignant) Dumont. She attended and was a graduate of Westford Academy, where she was inducted into the Academy's Hall of Fame for her excellence in Basketball. She furthered her education at the former Sargent College in Boston (now a part of Boston University) with a degree in physical education. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for 35 years as a physical education teacher in the Lunenburg, MA School System. She taught at the elementary and high schools throughout her career. According to the family, she was an avid Boston sports fan, and was a member of Red Sox Nation. She also enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She was also a longtime communicant of St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Westford. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Paul LeBlanc of Nashua; her son and daughter-in-law, Warren and Susan Dunigan of North Andover; two sisters, Dolores Cunningham of Lorain, Ohio, and Joyce Norton of Hudson, MA; three grandchildren, Amber and Brett LeBlanc of Nashua, and Brigid Dunigan of North Andover; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister-in-law of the late Leonard Cunningham, and Thomas Norton. DUNIGAN Beverly A. (Dumont) Dunigan, age 71, of Nashua, formerly of Westford. Visiting Hours will take place on Monday, June 2nd at the HEALY FUNERAL HOME, 57 North Main St., Westford, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Funeral Tuesday morning with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 107 North Main St., Westford at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at St. Catherine Cemetery.
