Frances Schubach-Jarek Obituary

Frances R. Schubach-Jarek Lowell, retired from the Dept. of Defense; 69 LOWELL Frances R. Schubach-Jarek, 69, a resident of Lowell, died Wednesday, July 9th, at Radius Northwood Healthcare Center in Lowell. She was the wife of the late Robert P. Jarek who died in 1993. She was born in Lowell, on October 11, 1938, and was a daughter of the late Harold F. and Hildegarde G. (Moore) Schubach. Prior to her retirement in 2003, Frances was employed for 18 years as a quality assurance specialist by the Department of Defense. Earlier in her career, she was employed for 10 years as a substitute teacher by the Lowell Public School System. In her free time, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, going to Foxwoods Casino, and scratching tickets. She is survived by four sons, Robert P. Jarek Jr., and his wife, Laura of Ranche Cucamonga, CA, Gary Jarek and his wife, Lori of Melbourne, FL, Stephen Jarek and his wife, Jackie of Melbourne, FL, and Jason Jarek and his wife, Jennifer of Dracut; three daughters, Darlene Jarek of Lowell, Susan Mika and her husband, Michael of Milford, NH, and Heidi Bleau and her husband, Christopher of Dracut; 23 grandchildren, Jonathan Parrott, Brandon Parrott, Janel Landers, Ryan Bleau, Joshua Bleau, Jason Jarek, Daniel Jarek, Stephen Jarek Jr., Tyler Jarek, Kian Jarek, Patrick Walsh, Jason Walsh, Morgan Jarek, Ashley Jarek, Stephanie Jarek, Aaron Jarek, Justin Jarek, Seth Jarek, Corey Harrigan, Jason Harrigan, Kristina Mika, Michael Mika, and Alycia Mika. She was also the mother-in-law of the late David M. Landers who died in February. SCHUBACH-JAREK Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Friday from 4 until 8 P.M. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Saturday at 9 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 A.M. at St. Michael Church in Lowell. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Dracut. Those who wish may make donations in her name to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Pl.
