Albert Crawford Obituary

Albert C. Crawford formerly of Ayer, local lumber co. worker; 75 SHIRLEY Albert C. Crawford, 75, of Shirley, died Friday, July 11, 2008, at his home after a lengthy illness. Mr. Crawford was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, Aug. 4, 1932, a son of Christopher and Annie K. (Ankettle) Crawford, and resided in Canada before moving the United States in 1963. He resided many years in Ayer before moving to Shirley 10 years ago. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marjorie J. (Cail) Crawford; a daughter, Darlene F. Crawford of Shirley, and a brother, John Crawford of Canada. He was also the brother of the late Joseph Crawford, Vincent Crawford, and Mary Jamison, all of Canada. For the past years, Mr. Crawford worked in the warehouse area of Tri-Moore Lumber Company in Ayer. Prior to that, he worked nearly 30 years at the Wickes Lumber Company in Acton. He enjoyed working with wood, spending time in his gardens, and collecting miniature lighthouses. He spent many summers at his home in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. CRAWFORD Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 15th at the T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Road, Ayer. Please see www.andersonfuneral.com for additional information.
