Andrew Hede Obituary

Andrew K. Hede formerly of Billerica, WWII vet; 82 OCALA, Florida Andrew K. Hede, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. He was 82 years of age. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark on March 5, 1926. He and his his wife of 58 years, the late Dorothy Ilean Hede, raisedtheir family in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. He was a wonderful father, husband, and a friend to everyone who knew him. Andrew was the chief steam engineer at the State House in Boston. Andrew was a member of the Billerica Seventh Day Adventist Church, where he served as a deacon. Andrew moved to Florida 8 years ago from Billerica. Andrew was a proud veteran of World War II, serving in the Army tank core. Andrew enjoyed working in his garden, fishing, and square dancing with the "Red Hot Squares". Andrew was the Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Fillmore) Hede. He was the Devoted father of Myra Tyler and her husband, George who was like a son of FL, and Kenneth Hede and his wife, Denise of FL. Andrew was the Cherished grandfather of Eric Tyler and Keri Archibald and her husband, Kyle. He was also survived by three great-grandsons; and his faithful dog companion, Georgia May. HEDE Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours, Sunday 1-5 p.m. at the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street, STONEHAM. Parking attendants will be available. Graveside Service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m., Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Andrew's family would especially like to thank Hospice of Marion County for their kindness, support and compassionate care.
