Warren Palmer Obituary

Warren L. Palmer Sr. former Littleton police officer, vet; 82 LITTLETON Warren L. Palmer Sr., of Littleton, died August 5, 2008, at the Emerson Hospital in Concord. He was born in Narvon, PA, Dec. 28, 1925 and was the son of the late Floyd and Martha (Brian) Palmer. He spent his early life in Pennsylvania before enlisting in the United States Navy. He also served in the Army, and had retired from the United States Air Force in 1964, as a Staff Sergeant after 20 years of combined service. He very proudly and bravely defended our country during WWII in the South Pacific, Philippines, and Korean War. After his retirement, he had been employed as a painting Contractor for many years. He also had been a Police Officer in the Town of Littleton in the early 70's. Mr. Palmer also enjoyed fishing and vintage automobiles. A resident of Littleton, MA since 1962. He was an amazing man who always put his family first. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Harriet (Osborne) Palmer; one daughter, Marianne (March) of Asburnham; 4 sons, Steven E. Palmer of Winchendon, Paul A. Palmer of California, Kevin B. Palmer of New Hampshire, Robert C. Palmer of Worcester, and the late Warren Palmer Jr.; a sister, Peg Sandoe and husband, Sam of Pa.; also 5 grandchildren who he dearly loved, Jason and Keith Palmer, Caleigh and Nicholas Palmer, and Kelsey March; and 3 great-grandchildren. He was an incredible man everyone who knew him thought the world of him. He will be very missed by all. PALMER of Littleton August 5, 2008, SSGT Warren L. Palmer Sr. U.S.A.F. Ret. Died Tuesday at Emerson Hospital Concord. Funeral Services Friday 10 A.M. at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St. (Rte. 2A/110), Littleton. Burial in Westlawn Cemetery with full Military Honors. Visiting Hrs. Thurs 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. For those who wish Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Littleton Fire Dept. Ambulance Gift Fund, 20 Foster St., Littleton, 01460.
