Joan Russell Obituary

Joan M. Russell of Chelmsford; 82 CHELMSFORD Joan M. (McCann) Russell, 82, a resident of Chelmsford for the past 11 years, and formerly of Franklin and Dedham, died on Friday, August 22, 2008. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert P. Russell, to whom she was married to for 60 years. Joan was born in Preston, England on May 22, 1926, the daughter of the late Alwyn and Ethel (Duckworth) McCann. She is survived by two daughters, Joan G. Gordon and her husband, Bob of CA, and Carole C. Russell and her wife, Beth Benoit of Chelmsford, two brothers, James McCann and his wife, Joanne, and John McCann and his wife, Peggy, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Joan was also the mother of the late Linda J. Schotch, and the late Roberta A. Russell. RUSSELL Joan M. (McCann) Russell, 82. Visiting hours at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford on Monday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. Cremation to follow. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church Chelmsford, 2 Westford St., Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church Chelmsford, 2 Westford St. Chelmsford, MA 01824.
