George Nocera Obituary

George D. 'Buddy' Nocera computer technician for U.S. Bard Co.; 53 BILLERICA George D. "Buddy" Nocera, age 53, a former Tewksbury resident and Air Force Veteran, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 23, at his home, following a four month battle with cancer. He was born in Waltham, October 2, 1954, one of seven children of Anthony J. and Evelyn (Robinson) Nocera. He was raised in Tewksbury, and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School with the Class of 1972. Upon graduation, he enlisted into the U.S. Air Force, and served in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He had lived in Billerica for the past 25 years. He was employed in the medical computer division of U.S. Bard Company. Besides his parents, who currently reside in Tewksbury, he is survived by four sisters, Deborah Carpenter of Dracut, Jean MacLaren and her husband, Ricky of Lowell, Rita McCabe and her husband, Ross of Plaistow, NH, Laurie Neilson and her husband, Erik of Haverhill; two brothers, Robert Nocera of Billerica, and John Nocera of Tempe, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. NOCERA of Tewksbury, Vietnam Era USAF Vet., George D. "Buddy" Nocera, age 53. His funeral will be held Thursday, Aug. 28, at 9:00 a.m. from the TEWKSBURY FUNERAL HOME, corner of Dewey and Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, phone (800 in MA or 978) 851-2950. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, at 10:00 a.m. in St. William's Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte 38) Tewksbury. Burial with Air Force Honors will be in St. Mary Cemetery, No. Tewksbury. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. tewksburyfuenralhome.com

I wish I wasn't living so far away from you. I wish we had more of an opportunity to be in each other's lives. You always think there's another day, but that's not always the case. The 7 of us will all be together again someday. We will have another siblings reunion when that happens. It will be the second reunion of many.
