Richard Wooldridge

Richard Wooldridge of Hudson, Fla., formerly of Dracut; 71 HUDSON, FLA. Mr. Richard "Woody" Wooldridge of Hudson, Florida, formerly of Dracut, died August 20th, 2008, after an extended illness, aged 71 years. Born in Lowell, January 26, 1937, the son of the late Angus and Anna (Balawaski) Wooldridge. He received his early education in the Dracut School system and was a graduate of Dracut High School with the Class of 1954. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict, being honorably discharged in 1958. "Woody" returned to Dracut and became associated with Veryfine Fruit Juice, having been associated with them for over 25 years. In 1988 he established his home in Hudson, Florida. Extremely active in the Daytona Antique Auto Racing Association which he had served as President for over eight years. He had enjoyed racing his original Kurtis Offy's all over. "Woody" held membership in Aripekia Elks in Hudson, Florida and locally he had been a member of the Dracut American Legion. Besides the love of his life, Nancy Dove, who had cared for him and supported him for over 18 years and through this illness. He is survived by one daughter, Tracy Wooldridge of Dracut, one grandson, Davon Dawson. A brother, Gerald Wooldridge of Lowell, a Aunt Helen Maguire of Exeter, NH. Four step-children, Eric Dove, Reggie Dove, Ginny Herbert all of Tyngsborough and Kimberly Dove of North Chelmsford, MA. five step-grandchildren., many cousins and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Karen Mitchell. WOOLDRIDGE Of Hudson, Florida, formerly of Dracut, Died Aug. 20th , 2008 after an extended illness. A celebration of "Woody's" life will be held at the Tyngsboro Sportsman Club, Westford Road, Tyngsboro, Ma. on Sat., September 20th , 2008 at 4:00 PM. Friends invited.
