Mary Graham Obituary

Mary T. Graham, R.N. longtime Lowell resident, retired nurse; 88 LOWELL Mary T. Graham, R.N., 88, a resident of Lowell for over 80 years and a former longtime Supervisor of the Pediatric Unit at St. John's Hospital (kna Saints Medical Center), died Tuesday evening, at Palm Manor Nursing Home in Chelmsford. Born in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, January 30, 1920, the daughter of the late James and the late Catherine (Bovill) Graham. She attended Chelmsford Schools and was a graduate of Chelmsford High School. She went on to graduate from St. John's Hospital School of Nursing in 1943 and became a Registered Nurse. During a distinguished career, which spanned over 40 years, Miss Graham worked as a Nurse and Supervisor at the former St. John's Hospital in the Pediatric Department until her retirement in 1985. After retirement, and as a way to continue her love of children, she babysat the children of a dear friend and fellow nurse, Gail Morse for many years. Among her many interests, she was a member of the St. John's Nurses Alumnae and enjoyed reading having lunches with her fellow nurses. Miss Graham was a longtime communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church. She is survived by four nieces, Marianne Lomme of Leominster, Susan Diette of Westford, Kathleen Riley of Hyannis, and Stella Rand of New Ipswich, NH: nine nephews, James Graham Salem, NH, John Graham West Palm Beach, Florida, Michael Graham of Dracut, Steven Graham of Dracut, Andrew Graham of New Ipswich, NH, William Graham of Palm Bay, Florida, Alexander Graham of Dracut, George Graham of Dracut, and Jamie Graham of Lowell; many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was also the sister of the late Kathleen Riley, the late James Graham, the late John Graham, and the late Alec Graham. GRAHAM In Chelmsford, MA, September 30, 2008, Mary T. Graham, R.N., of Lowell, retired Nurse and Supervisor Saints Medical Center. Friends may call at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 7 P.M. Friday. Her Funeral will take place from the Funeral Home Saturday morning at 9 o'clock followed by a Funeral Mass at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH at 10 o'clock. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery.
