Joseph Franzek Obituary

Joseph 'JoJo' Franzek, Sr. of Littleton, active at St. Anne Church; 92 LITTLETON Joseph "JoJo" Franzek, Sr., of Littleton, died at Nashoba Valley Medical Center, on October 15. He was born in Groton on Jan. 29, 1916, son of the late Stanley and Frances (Haberski) Franzek, and was the husband of the late Helen (Litchfield) Franzek who died in 1967. He grew up in Groton, and attended the Groton School System. Joseph worked for many chicken farms in Groton and Pepperell, as well as the family farm. He moved to Littleton where he worked for an egg farm for several years. Mr. Franzek then worked for Bursaw Oil Co. of Acton, as an oil delivery man and later in installations and as an oil burner technician for 26 years retiring in 1982. Joe was a member of 4-H and Forestry Club, as a young man. He was a member of St. Anne's Church in Littleton where he served as an usher. Joe was also an avid gardener. Mr. Franzek is survived by 2 sons and their wives, Joseph "Ed" and his wife, Cynthia Franzek Jr., of Littleton, and Dana and his wife, Donna Franzek of Pepperell; a brother, John Franzek of Groton; and a sister, Wanda Antosh of Groton; and 2 grandsons, Devin and Derek Franzek. He was also the brother of the late Stanley Franzek, Ann Riley, and Helen Franzek. FRANZEK Funeral from the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton on Monday at 10 a.m. a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne's Church, 75 King St., Littleton at 11 a.m. Visiting Hours will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Burial at Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton.
