George Ciampa Obituary

George J. Ciampa longtime Lowell resident, Marine vet; 56 LOWELL George Joseph Ciampa, 56 years old, longtime resident of Lowell, died early Friday morning, October 17th, at the Belvidere Home for Veterans, his residence for the past 17 years. He was born in Boston, on January 3, 1952, a son of the late George and Anna Marie (Moriello) Ciampa. He was a graduate of the Malden Public Schools. Mr. Ciampa served in the United States Marine Corps, and was a member of the Lowell Lodge of Elks. Surviving him are a two brothers and a sister-in-law, Alfred and Jean Ciampa and Richard Ciampa, all of Wilmington; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Janet Ciampa Moynihan and her husband, Paul, of Wilmington; and MaryAnn Ciampa Denning, of California; as well as his extended family and friends at the Belvidere House. CIAMPA Friends may call from 3 to 6 PM on Sunday, October 19th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). His Funeral Mass to be offered on Monday, October 20th at 11 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH. Burial in the Edson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Lowell Lodge of Elks, Christmas Fund, ATTN: Dody, 40 Old Ferry Rd., Lowell, MA 01854.
