Joseph Marcouillier Obituary

Joseph H. Marcouillier lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 662; 77 Dracut Joseph H. "Albert" Marcouillier, age 77, a resident of Dracut, died on Tuesday morning, October 21, 2008 at the Lowell General Hospital. He was the former husband of Annie B. (Bennett) Marcotte. Born in Lowell, Dec. 3, 1930, he was the son of the late Arthur and Lydia (Charette) Marcouillier. He attended Lowell Schools. Joe was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U. S. Army. Prior to his retirement he had been employed as a food service supervisor at the Edith Nourse Rogers Veterans Administration Hospital in Bedford, MA. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 662 and a member of the AARP. He had been a volunteer at the Chelmsford Senior Center and the Lowell Council of Aging. He was also an avid Bingo player. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Brenda Harris and her husband Patrick of Maryland; four sons and three daughters in law, Ronald Marcouillier and his wife Barbara of Vermont, Steven Marcouillier of New Hampshire, Ed Marcouillier and his wife Lisa of Chelmsford, and Warren Marcouillier and his wife Jennifer of Billerica; sixteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Roland Marcouillier of Kansas; a sister, Irene LeClerc of North Carolina; also several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Patricia Vela, grandfather of the late Edward Marcouillier and brother of the late Wilfred Marcouillier, Andrew Marcouillier, Maurice "Moe" Marcouillier, Cecile Cormier, Teresa Cormier, and Rita Hamel. MARCOUILLIER Joseph H. "Albert" Marcouillier, 77, a resident of Dracut. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his committal service to be held on Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the chapel of St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements by the ROLAND W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME 308 Pawtucket Street, Lowell.
