Kenneth Camara Obituary

Kenneth J. Camara former Tewksbury businessman; 67 TEWKSBURY Kenneth J. Camara, age 67, a resident of Hudson, NH for the past 6 years, formerly a longtime Tewksbury resident, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at the Caritas Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. Born in Lowell on July 18, 1941, he was the son of the late Manuel Camara and the late Mariette (Aube) Camara. Mr. Camara was raised in Tewksbury and attended Tewksbury schools. In 1959, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served with the 8th Engineer Battalion. Mr. Camara founded and operated the Kenneth J. Camara Concrete Contractors Company, formerly of Tewksbury. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Amtrak Railway Company in Boston. According to his family, he will always be remembered for his tremendous sense of humor. In addition, he was an avid collector and especially loved collecting coins and historic military weapons. He is survived by two daughters, Renee Camara of Nashua, NH and Rachel L. Camara of Lowell; two grandchildren, Samantha and Mackenzie Normandie, both of Nashua, NH; one brother, Thomas M. Camara and his wife, Jeanne of Hudson, NH; three sisters, Rosemary Auger of Methuen, Winnie M. Pappas and her husband, Ron, and Marietta R. Camara, all of Manchester, NH; his former wife, Linda (Cawthron) Camara of Lowell; also many nieces and nephews. CAMARA Kenneth J. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 28th at 11 a.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Interment will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery. At his request, there are NO Calling Hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 are requested. www.farmeranddee.com
