Eileen M. Joyce of Chelmsford, St. Mary member; 76 CHELMSFORD Eileen M. (Galvin) Joyce, 76, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, died on Wednesday, October 22, 2008. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Joyce Sr. who died in 2002. She was born on April 2, 1932, in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Daniel and Nora (Barrett) Galvin. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Chelmsford. She enjoyed reading and karaoke with her friends. She loved spending time with her family especially her children and grandchildren. She was active in Girl Scouts as a leader, and enjoyed volunteering at her children's schools. She is survived by her five loving children, Karen Cotoni of N. Chelmsford, Patricia Bauman of Chelmsford, Caroline Joyce of Chelmsford, Jennifer Joyce-Maybury and her husband, Dale Maybury of Westford, and Robert W. Joyce Jr. and his wife, Cathleen of Carlisle. She also leaves six grandchildren, Timothy Joyce and his wife, Erika, Jeffrey Bauman, Derek Cotoni, Robert W. Joyce III, MaryKate Joyce and Cole Maybury, 2 great-grandchildren, Tristin Joyce and Brady Joyce, a brother, William Galvin of Tewksbury, several nieces and nephews; and many close friends including her lifelong friend, Geri Curran of Woburn. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 6 at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Church, Chelmsford. Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
