Ruth Robinson Obituary

Ruth Robinson formerly of Westford, active in community; 91 NASHUA, NH Ruth (Spencer) Robinson, 91, a resident of Nashua, NH for the past 11 years, and formerly of Westford, died on Friday, October 24, 2008. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter H. Robinson Jr. who died in 2003. She was born on September 23, 1917, in Limerick, Maine, a daughter of the late Bertram and Evelyn (Southwell) Spencer. She was a graduate of Lowell High School. She attended the Massachusetts School of Art, and graduated from the Traphagen Fashion Academy in New York City. She was a former member of the First Parish Church United of Westford where she served as Superintendent of the Sunday School and as a member of the choir for many years. She was active in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts programs in Westford, MA and Johnsonville, SC and was a board member in the first Florence Girl Scout Council. She was also past President and Treasurer of the Johnsonville Woman's Club. She was a member of the First Church of Nashua, NH. She is survived by three loving children, Judith L. Robinson of Nashua, NH, Janet L. Poirier and her husband, Daniel of Bedford, NH, and James S. Robinson and his wife, Cynthia Grovo of Scarborough, Maine. She also leaves six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. ROBINSON Ruth (Spencer) Robinson. Funeral Services were held privately.
