Doris Dubuc Obituary

Doris V. 'Vicki' Dubuc of Dracut, active at St. Mary Magdalen; 77 DRACUT Mrs. Doris V. "Vicki" (Couture) Dubuc, age 77, longtime resident of Dracut, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at a healthcare facility in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of Francis D. Dubuc with whom she would of celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on November 11th. Born in Walingford, CT, on December 2, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Edward J. and Rose H. (Letendre) Couture. Doris was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Church where she was involved in many activities and active with many groups including their St. Vincent de Paul Society. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a waitress for over 20 years, at the Windsor Restaurant formerly of Dracut, and more recently she had been a bus driver for special needs students. Doris was a member of the Red Hat Society, a member of the former La Chorale Orion and had also volunteered for several organizations. Surviving her in addition to her husband are a son, Francis A. "Franky" Dubuc of Dracut; three daughters and sons-in-law, Denise Thomas and her husband, George of Durham, NH, Pamela R. "Penny" Donoghue and her husband, Michael of Dracut, and Anita L. Kotsironis and her husband Arthur of Dracut; 10 grandchildren, Cassandra, Amanda, Laura, Christian, Meghan, Katherine, Sable, Brendan, Athanasia and George; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Edward Couture of Tyngsboro, Gerard Couture of North Carolina, and Raymond Couture and his wife, Sandra of Tyngsboro; a sister, Constance Weise of Charlotte, Iowa; a brother-in-law and his wife, Arthur and Ruth Dubuc of Lowell; also several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Gerald Dubuc, and sister of the late Henry Couture. DUBUC Mrs. Doris V. "Vicki" (Couture) Dubuc, age 77, longtime resident of Dracut, and wife of Francis D. Dubuc. Relatives and friends may call at the ROLAND W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 308 Pawtucket St., Lowell, on FRIDAY from 4 until 7 pm. ATTENDANT PARKING. Her funeral will be held on Saturday morning with a funeral mass to be celebrated at 9 o'clock in St. Mary Magdalen Church, Dracut. Burial in St. Joseph cemetery, Chelmsford. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the St. Vincent de Paul Society c/o St. Mary Magdalen Church, 93 Lakeview Ave., Tyngsboro, MA 01879 or the Alzheimer's Assoc. 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
