I think of myself as an adopted member of the Hazel's. I have been a friend of the family and extended family for 34 years. I consider myself to be most fortunate for the times I have shared with this wonderful group of people. We all speak of Evelyn as being the most wonderful nurse. It is because of who she is innately that made her an extraordinary nurse, not to mention many of her other important roles as a mother, wife, friend, grandmother, and mentor. Kind, loving, and accepting are a few of the words I think of when I think of her. Evelyn, I will miss you very much.

My Grammy was the best ever. Her spirit will stay with me in my heart forever. Her cooking will remain in my tummy too. She was so dedicated in helping others. She had more to give this world. In her passing it made me realize my family is the most important thing in the world. When we all cried together it helped me share my feelings. When I heard the news it felt like I stopped dead in my tracks no one to lean on to. This horrible tragedy makes me pray to her every night. I love you Grammy and I always will.

My Grammy was the best there ever was. I could open up to her with my deepest problems. I love her more than anything. In my heart she will stay with me forever. Her life ended way to quickly ,she had more to give this world. I wish more than anything that she would come back and live to the most of life. Now all i can do is pray to her every night. I love you Grammy and I always will.
