Dear Mick,
I'm deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Val. She was truly a very special person who touched many lives. A few years back I under went a surgery which I was very uneasy about. When I realized Val would be my nurse for the day I suddenly didn't have that fear anymore. She had a gift and I am very fortunate to have known her. Her great spirit will always live on.

Val,
You touched so many people in your short time with us. You were my friend, always inviting me over to sit and chat or cook up a little something. Your sense of humor was contagious! You could get anyone to laugh! My favorite times with you were shopping and sitting at the beach. The three sisters are now only two. I miss you dearly. Thanks For All The Memories. I Love You.

Val was a thoroughly professional ,compassionate knowledgeable and friendly nurse in every way . I enjoyed knowing her and I knew that she would always take great care of my and my colleagues patients. As a floor nurse before she worked in the ACU, Val would keep some of our long term orthopedic patients in traction in the best possible spirits with her warm reassuring care. She will be deeply missed.

We all loved Val. She was a delightful person to be around. She was caring and always would lend an ear to listen. She was an unbelievable nurse who always went beyond her job. She recently saw my dad at the hospital, but was not his nurse that particular day. The next day she called him at home to check on him and just be her "kind" self. She made his day. We will all miss you Val. We will keep your family in our prayers. We all feel fortunate in knowing you, Val.

I was stunned to hear of Val's death. We are all diminished by her passing. So many patients were in such good hands wherever Val worked at LGH. Her calm, capable, and compassionate care was always evident. She offered so much of herself to everyone whose life she touched. May the knowledge of the difference she made in so many lives bring comfort to those close to her.

I'm sorry we weren't able to see Val again at the family softball game back in October (I believe she was at a basketball tournament with your daughter). It is with the heaviest heart that I send my sympathy to Valerie's husband, children, siblings, parents and close friends.It is unimaginable the pain and loss you all must be feeling. I knew her through her brother Steven and had the opportunity to see her at gatherings over many years. Each time I saw her she talked about her kids with a lot of love and pride! We’ve only been a member of the Dracut Community for about three years. We met Val and Mickey through our son Matthew who considers Mikey his best friend. Valarie and I started at Lowell General hospital as graduate nurses working nights together. We had so many nights that were challenging, but she always did it with a smile and a great sense of humor. We ran in to each other recently and she was the same Valarie. I'm so sorry for your loss. I met Val many years ago when we went to Curves together. I used to see her around town all the time and she always stopped to talk. She was my nurse when I had surgery a few years ago. She was always smiling and was such a joy to talk to. Even though I didn't see her often, she was one of those people who always brightened your day when you saw her. My sympathy goes out to you, her loving family, and may the wonderful memories you cherish help to ease your pain.

I met Val at LGH when she was assigned to my husband for day surgery. She was the best! While talking with Val we learned that she went to Rogerson (London St.) school with my brother Peter, then high school. We had a stroll down memory lane. When I told my brother about the meeting, he rembered Val fondly from those days.
Our condolences and prayers are with her family for your loss of a wonderful woman.
It was only a brief meeting but her personality and caring touch was unforgettable.
