Virginia Hayden Obituary

Virginia D. Hayden of Ayer and Wolfeboro, NH; 91 AYER, MA/WOLFEBORO, NH Virginia D. (Dwinell) Hayden, 91, of Ayer and Wolfeboro, NH., died Sunday, September 30, 2007, at her summer residence in Wolfeboro, after an illness. She was the wife of Willard B. Hayden, who died in January 1995. Mrs. Hayden was born in Groton, Aug. 26, 1916, a daughter of Ira G. and Ethel (Fletcher) Dwinell. She resided most of her life in Ayer. She was a 1934 graduate of Ayer High School, and was graduated in 1938 as a Durant Scholar from Wellesley College where she majored in French and Spanish. She was a member of the Ayer Women's Club, the Tony's Restaurant Coffee Group, and the Wolfeboro Historical Society. She enjoyed collecting Ayer and Wolfeboro memorabilia and was well known to her many friends for her May Baskets and other thoughtful gifts throughout the year. She attended the Federated Church of Ayer. Mrs. Hayden is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Katherine H. and Wayne Karlson of White River Junction, VT. She also leaves a wonderful extended family in both Ayer and Wolfeboro including the Goodrich Family of Wolfeboro. She was also the mother of the late Grant W. Hayden of Wolfeboro, and the sister of the late Marion Whitcomb and Reba Dwinell, both of Ayer. HAYDEN Virginia D. (Dwinell), 91. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wed. at the Lakeview Cemetery, Main Street, Wolfeboro. Calling hours are 3-5 p.m. Tues. at the T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Rd.
