Ma:
I've never thought of you as solely my mother-in-law, but rather a second mother who always found time to sit down and listen to my thoughts about my family, personal matters and concerns.
You always inspired me after our talks; you lifted my spirits and gave me hope and strength to move forward through life's everlasting challenges.
Thanks ma! I will always keep you in my heart and each time I pass your house to and from work; I'll say a small prayer for you.
May the angels lift you gently on their wings to your final place with God to be with your son and husband.

We all have favorite Aunt's & Uncle's and you were certainly one of mine.
You had many challenges in your life and you always handled them with class and a quite serenety.
May God welcome you into heaven and may you enjoy everlasting peace you so richly deserve

Memere,
Your life was an inspiration to me. God gives each of us tests, and your test of raising five children, in tough times, and by yourself, was more than most could take.
But, as with seemingly everything, you handled it with grace and class, ever the matriarch of your family, even to the last moments of your earthly life. You were always revered by all of your grandchildren for that.
Though our relationship should have been closer, your lasting impression on me is that of handling all troubles in life with dignity, of going first-class all the way, and of being a good Catholic.
You never drew attention to yourself. Even in your suffering you always diverted attention given about how you were feeling to questions about me and my life. That lesson will never be lost on me. Your humility inspired me.
And I will never forget the memories of your husband you shared with me. Though it took all of these years, I felt I finally started to know the grandfather I never knew. And I've included him in my prayers ever since.
My memories of you will forever be the sense of family and love I felt in your home during the holidays. It was more than pork pies and Easter hams (though those were some of my favorite memories!)...It was family, and you were always seated in the right spot, at the head of the table.
I take great peace in knowing your passing was peaceful, in the presence of your daughters.
I know where you are now, and you probably know I am praying for you every day.
But I also know you are or will be reunited with Edward, a long-overdue reunion with your life partner, and with Karl.
I'm happy your earthly suffering has come to a close, and will pray for you always.
Love,
Erik
