Dear All,
Stacey was the one and only person who ever came up to me to say hello on her own initiative at Sarah Lawrence College. I met her when we were both part of the CCE program and she was an inspiration to me as a writer, a poet, a woman of great courage and great beauty inside and out. I will never forget the sadly brief but lasting impressions she has made on me.
I am still surprised not to see her around campus. She will be missed.

Carol, Brendan, Katie & Brendan;
Spike and I were truly sad to hear about Stacey's passing. As her Godmother my heart is heavy with grief. Stacey was a beautiful girl and will be missed by the Hatfield family. May you be comforted by the treasured memories that will always be in your thoughts, and the special love that will always be in your hearts. Love to all,

SA,
I know you wouldn't want me to but I can't stop crying. I am so sad that my favorite person in the whole world is no longer here. It really touched me meeting so many people at the wake that you had touched and inspired. I am honored and priviliged to be your brother and have never been prouder of you. I am trying to take comfort in the fact that you have found eternal comfort in the arms of an angel. I'll think of you everyday until we meet again... I love you!!! I love you!!! I love you!!!

Stacey,
I was only given one sister and I am so happy that sister was you. Who I am I going to call on Christmas to wish Happy Groundhogs Day to? Who I am going to sing St. Mary's Children's Choir songs with and fight over the lyrics? I can barely stand how sad I am and then I get sadder (more sad? why aren't you here to talk grammar with?). I keep listening to the last three voice mails you left on my phone and I love you too.

I met Stacey while she was a student at Middlesex Community College. She came to my office to learn about our Service Learning program, which she signed up for and completed in an exemplary manner. Her compassion and caring for others are two of the things I remember most. In addition, her delightful personality and sense of humor will always be remembered.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
