To the family of Dr. Rigdon,
I have just been a resident of this area for a year now. I had been looking for a good dentist, and was very happy to find Dr. Rigdon. He was always considerate of my feelings,(pain etc.) and I had nothing but good experiences when visitng his office. I lost both of my parents back in Dec. of '04, so I know a little bit of how you feel. My deepest sympathy to you all. He will be missed very much. God Bless you all.

Deepest sympathy to the entire family and the office staff. When you become overwhelmed in your loss please try to remember how blessed we all were to have known such a kind, caring and compassionate person.
Feel no guilt in laughter, he knows how much you care
Feel no sorrow in a smile that he's not here to share
You can not grieve forever, he wouldn't want you to
He'd hope that you can carry on, the way you always do
So talk about the good times, and the ways you showed you cared
The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared
Let memories surround you.
A word someone may say
Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day
That brings him back as clearly as though he were still here
And fills you with the feelings that he is always near
For if you keep these moments, you will never be apart
And he will live forever locked safe within your heart.

Dr. Ridgon was my dentist for more than 25 years at Fort Valley. He was a good person and kind to everyone. I enjoyed visiting him during my dental appointments. He cared for other persons and was always pleasant.
Dr. Rigdon was a highly educated and skillful dentist. We really miss him and his contributions. I wish and pray for his soul. Let God give peace and tranquility to his family.

I have not seen Dr. Rigdon in many years, but he was the first dentist that I ever saw. My memories of him are memories from my childhood, memories in which he was an extremely pleasant and nice man that was gentle and reassuring in his work. I have since measured every dentist against Dr. Rigdon and have found them all to lack the kindness that he possessed. I am in shock that he is gone and I pray that the Lord comfort you in this time of loss - My prayers will be for the family and friends that have been left behind.

While living in Fort Vally many years ago Dr. Phillip looked after my teeth for me. He was so gentle it upset him that I always refused injections.(He would work extra fast.) I am so sorry to hear the news about him passing away. I have fond memories of him as my dentist.
I pray God's comfort be with the Rigdon family.

Dr. Rigdon was a very dear and special man. I always enjoyed my visits to the dentist. We always shared our conservative political views and swapped stories & predictions. Not only have you as his family lost a dear & devoted man but so has his community and his profession. I have been so saddened to learn of his passing. I pray that God will hold you safely and securely in His arms, fill the void you must feel, and provide you with the peace you need now and always.

Lil Phillip, Todd, Beth, Chad, & the Rigdon family, upon receiving words of Big Phillip's death I was deeply saddened and my heart immediately felt a void. Boys, your father was a WONDERFUL man who taught love and patience to all through his peaceful and tranquil demeanor. Because of HIM, my first trip to the dentist was not nearly as frightening. That was because Phillip had a natural gift of caring and was truly a compassionate father, doctor and friend to all. Although these times are difficult right now, take comfort in knowing God has embraced Big Phillip into His kingdom. Todd and Lil Phillip, know that your father will from this day forward watch over you, protect you and will continue to be proud of all that you do. He will be loved and missed by all. I pass along the prayers and sympathy from the men and women in my unit here in the middle east. Stay strong and God Bless You All. Love, Coretta

Precious Family:
The news of Phillip's death was such a shock. I have known him since we were in Fort Valley and he became our dentist when he came home from medical college. Even after moving to Tifton in '98 I continued to drive to Ft. Valley because he was the best. I just saw him a few weeks ago. Please know that many share your loss and will be doubly sure to lift you up to the Lord. The questions come, many times unanswered. The only sure answer is, "Jesus knows and is there."

Dr. Rigdon was our family dentist for many years. His death has left a void in our lives, not because we lost a dentist but because we have lost a friend. That was exactly how he and his staff made us feel.
May you find comfort in the many cards, visits and phone calls from those who knew him and loved him. Most importantly, know that our Savior has welcomed him with open arms.

Beth, Phillip and Todd,
I don't know if you all remember me or not but I am Donnie and Sherri's daughter that lived in Roberta. Beth taught me ballet and tap when I was 5. I started bringing my son (John Michael) to Phillip about 3 years ago. I know that you all are going through a very hard time right now and I can only imagine how hard this will be for you. Just know that Phillip is in a better place now and he will always be watching over you and protecting you. I'm sorry that I was unable to attend the funeral, but know that he is with God and will be looking down on you always.

God’s Garden
God looked around his garden,
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth,
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you,
and lifted you to rest,
God's garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain,
He knew that you would never,
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb,
So he closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered "peace be thine."
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

Beth, Phillip, Todd, Chad, and entire family. Our hearts go out to each of you in this time of loss. Phillip is going to be missed tremendously in our community, and without a doubt, by you, his family. He was our dentist for the past 25+ years, as well as for our children. The thing I remember most about Phillip is how he was so caring when my daughter, Christi, fell and busted both front teeth out. He took such good care of her while I stood there worried, crying, and scared she had done real damage to her permanent teeth. He was so attentive to her and to me, and the thing that impressed me the most was Phillip called our home later that night to check on Christi. I don't know of another dentist or doctor that would have done that. I'll always remember Phillip for his caring ways.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God bless you with the comfort and peace you need now and provide you with those things you'll need the most during this time and always.
