Dear Family of Dr. Jones

Having just learned of your loss this is late getting to you. I can only imagine what a wonderful father and mentor Dr. Jones was for everyone. Having known Ellie for years and knowing the quality of person she is it has always been apparent that she had a great backgound. She radiates love and warmth to everyone she meets. She is an example to everyone she meets. She has always expressed a great love of family and has made no secret of the fact that she had a great family. The void that the family feels must be difficult for everyone. I will keep the family in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Jones Family,

I was very sorry to read of Dr. Jones' death. He was a very colorful personality in the folk harp community. I have had the pleasure of his attendance at several of my workshop presentations -- the last being in Atlanta a few years ago -- and always enjoyed his remarks and observations during breaks. He provided a great spirit and positive attitude for all in attendance.

Best wishes to your entire family as you continue with his wonderful memory as a legacy of love and respect.

Sincerely yours,

Ray Pool

Dear Mrs. Jones & family,

I am greatly sorrowed to hear of Robert's passing. This news reached me via the Atlanta Folk Harpers group of which we were both members. I was privileged to first meet your husband several years ago at an Allison Kinnard workshop at the Atlanta Celtic Festival. I had just taken up the harp at the time, and jokingly referred to it as my 'mid-life crisis' instrument. He was so kind to share his experiences of beginning a new instrument later in life with me. We corresponded by email several times over the years, and I was greatly looking forward to hearing of his summer experiences on the Isle of Lewis. I will greatly miss his wit and wisdom. I am very privileged to have known him.
