Walter Ryan Obituary
He was born July 30, 1929 in Sussex, New Brunswick. He moved to Leesburg in 1988 from Augusta, Maine.
Mr. Ryan was a pipefitter and a member of the Knights of Columbus in Maine and in Leesburg. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Leesburg.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Aurora "Ora" Ryan, of Leesburg; sons Francis D. Ryan, of Providence, R.I., and Thomas W. Ryan, of London, England; daughter Debbey Ryan, of Ft. Lauderdale; sisters Rita Proctor, Kathleen Harrington, Lois McHugh and Irma Gillespie; brothers James Ryan and George Ryan, all residing in Canada; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass will take place in Florida.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, Inc., 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
Arrangements are entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home & Crematory, 1123 West Main St., Leesburg.

Walter Ryan was one of the kindest and gentlest souls God put on this earth. Always with a smile on his face and offering a helping hand to whoever needed one. A dedicated husband and father I could never had asked for a more loving dad. I will miss him tremendously but know that he will always be keeping watch over me and all those who he loved.

On behalf of the members of the United Association Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 716 I would like to extend our condolences. Walter represented what is best in our organization. it was his dedication and determination that made us one the premier trade unions in America. He remained loyal through good times and hard times, through both success and disappointment. Walter demonstrated to all of us the true spirit of brotherhood and solidarity. He will be truly missed by all of us. May he rest in peace.
