He was a supervisor of food service at the Augusta Mental Health Institute, retiring after 32 years. Norman was predeceased by his wife, Marguerite Morang Grant. He is survived by his daughters, Julie Marie Grant of Augusta and Lorie Jean Sproul and husband, Blaine, of Weeks Mills; his twin brother, Norwood P. Grant of Biddeford; his sister, Shirley Turner and husband, Gerald, of Ohio; several nieces, a nephew and cousins; special friends Jen York and Paul Pease, who took such good care of him when his trailer caught fire; special friends Jennifer, Ken, April and Amanda; and his special cats Cuddles and Blacky.

Visiting hours will be 10:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, March 11, at Randolph United Methodist Church, followed by a funeral service at noon, with a luncheon to follow the service in the church hall. Burial with military honors will occur beside his wife in Maple Grove Extension Cemetery Randolph in the spring.

To Norm's Family:
I think often of my days growing up in the house next to Norm and Norwood. We used to walk to school together and skate together at Brownie's skating rink in our back yards. I haven't seen them in recent years, but i want them to know I haven't forgotten.

I was so sadden to hear of the passing of your Dad Lorie, and Father in law Blaine. After reading the Obituary notice I see he was a wonderful person who kept giving to other all his life, and for that I am sure he will be missed by more then just his immediate family, but by his extended family. Prayers and thoughts going out to the entire family.

I used to spend a lot of time with the Grant family when I was growing up. I felt like Normie and Norwood were my brothers and Shirley was my sister. These past few years we have fondly reminisced about these years gone past. I surely will miss seeing and talking with Normie. I am sorry that he went through so much sickness in the end. My prayers are with him and his family.
