William H. Cornish

William H. Cornish, 64 SEBAGO - William H. Cornish, 64 years of age of Ridge Circle in Sebago, husband of Janet E. Rivere Cornish, died on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 at the Barron Center in Portland. Bill was born in Portland on Nov. 1, 1944 the son of Edward and Nellie Mohoney Cornish. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war and had worked many years at various lumber mills. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife; and three children, William Cornish of Bristol, Conn., SSG Christopher Cornish of Alabama and Willita Dang of Portland; seven sisters, Jeanette Grigsby, Gwendolin Simard and Donna Penny all of Portland, Evelyn Jensen, Peggy Thompson and Caroline Brown all of South Portland and Linda Patterson of Buxton, two brothers, Freddie Cornish of Portland and Bobby Mahoney of Westbrook; fourteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A service in celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at the chapel of Independent Death Care, 471 Deering Ave., Portland. Interment will be in Forest City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the guidance of Independent Death Care, 471 Deering Ave., Portland.
