William Pierce Obituary

William 'Bill' Pierce, 62 NEW GLOUCESTER -- William 'Bill' Pierce, 62, of New Gloucester unexpectedly passed away peacefully at home on March 4, 2009. He was born Jan. 6, 1947, at eastern Maine Medical Center, the son of William and Kay (Smallidge) Pierce. He worked for Clean Harbors in South Portland for many years. He enjoyed working around his house and taking care of those he loved. He was predeceased by his father William Pierce Sr. He is survived by his loving partner Marilyn Chase, who he loved dearly of New Gloucester; his son Michael Pierce of Turner, who he loved so much; his mother Kay Pierce of Winter Harbor, who he loved and cherished; his sister Karen Hodgkins of winter Harbor, who was his best friend, his brother Larry Pierce and his wife Mary of Carmel; his niece Erica Hodgkins of Winter Harbor, who was like a daughter to him; Donna Atwell of New Gloucester, close and special friend and neighbor; and his best buddy Tyler Austin of Standish. There will be a memorial service for Bill at the American Legion on Dunn Street in Westbrook from 2 until 5 p.m. on March 15.

Bill grew up in Winter Harbor and was a neighbor and childhood friend.He was a good guy.we want to extend our deepest sympathy to Bill's family.His life ended way to soon.
