Salvatore Alfred "Sal" Tudisco

Salvatore Alfred 'Sal' Tudisco, 82 KENNEBUNK -- Salvatore Alfred 'Sal' Tudisco, 82, a resident of Kennebunk passed away peacefully at his home on March 11, 2009. He was born June 5, 1926, in Emerson, N.J., to Joseph and Julia (Clausi) Tudisco. He attended Emerson and Westward Schools in New Jersey. Sal served with the United States Army in World War II, in Army Infantry in Italy and the European Theater, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. After the War, he build and developed several large industrial complexes in Bergen County, N.J. Sal moved to Kennebunk in 1970 and continued his love of the construction business by building several complexes in Wells and Kennebunk. He loved nature and one of his greatest prides was his home on Gooch's Creek. He enjoyed many hours gazing at flocks of geese and ducks from his deck. Salvatore is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Janan of Kennebunk; his son Daryl Tudisco and his wife Georgeann of Wells; two sisters, Ann Saco of Hillsdale, N.J., and Josie Baker of Emerson, N.J., a brother Vincent Tudisco of Hillsdale, N.J.; several nieces and nephews; and three grandchildren, Jeremy, Jennessa and Jaclyn Tudisco. A special thanks to Dr. Arthur Scott Jr. of Biddeford for his care and compassion during Sal's illness. Private graveside services will be held at Hope Cemetery, Kennebunk in the spring.
