Ronald G. Sarazin
1940 - 2005
NORTHAMPTON - Ronald G. Sarazin, 65, of 80 Damon Rd. and a lifelong resident of Northampton, died Monday at the Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Born in Northampton March 23, 1940, he was the son of the late Edward and Helen (Torrey) Sarazin. He was a 1957 graduate of Northampton High School. He graduated from Westfield State College in 1961 and later attended Trinity College. He was a history teacher at East Longmeadow High School for 40 years and also the longtime owner of the Bay State Hotel in Northampton. He is survived by 2 sisters, Jean Cook of Florence and Janet Bibeau of Northampton; a brother, William Sarazin of Belchertown; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 11, 2005, 1 p.m. at the Edwards Church in Northampton. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to a reception immediately following the service in the Edwards Church Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Forbes Library, 20 West St., Northampton, MA 01060. The Ahearn Funeral Home in Northampton is in charge of arrangements.
